There is something strangely beautiful about beginning with a blank page.
It is both exciting and intimidating.
A quiet reminder that every story begins somewhere.
Today, this little corner of the internet begins its own story.
If you’ve found your way here, welcome.
Whether you’ve come because of The Life We Chose, through a recommendation from a friend, or simply because you were searching for words that might feel like home, I’m grateful you’re here.
For years, writing was never meant to be shared.
It was where I whispered prayers I couldn’t say aloud.
Where I untangled thoughts that refused to quiet down.
Where I tried to make sense of seasons I never imagined I would have to walk through.
Long before I became an author, I was simply a woman writing to survive.
Over time, those private pages became something else.
They became reminders that healing rarely arrives all at once.
It often comes quietly.
One conversation.
One prayer.
One act of courage.
One ordinary day at a time.
Perhaps that’s why I’ve always loved memoirs and essays.
They remind us that we are never the only ones trying to find our way.
This Journal is an extension of that belief.
It won’t be filled with perfect answers.
You’ll find reflections on faith.
Stories about motherhood.
Thoughts on healing.
The quiet lessons hidden inside ordinary days.
Occasional glimpses behind the pages of my books.
Sometimes, I’ll recommend books that have stayed with me.
Other times, I’ll simply share something that made me stop, smile, or think.
I hope these pages become less like a blog and more like conversations over coffee.
A place where we can pause for a little while before stepping back into our busy lives.
If there’s one thing I hope you carry with you whenever you visit, it’s this:
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin again.
Sometimes hope doesn’t arrive with fireworks.
Sometimes it arrives quietly…
Like finding the words you needed on an ordinary afternoon.
Thank you for being here.
I hope you’ll come back often.
There’s plenty more to write.
With love,
